Bonnie Warren
Hello,
My name is Bonnie Warren and I have been doing artwork most of my life. My mother was an artist and as a young child, I loved to watch her paint and sell her art of Eskimo children at a local gift shop in Alaska. I began drawing when I was 5 years old and early on entered and won many art contests. I studied art in college as my goal was to become an art teacher in a college setting, however that dream changed as life got in my way and I changed my major and got a degree in Floristry. I loved plants and flowers and worked in several floral shops and had my own business doing wedding flowers. Later I went back to college and got a degree in Cosmetology and worked as a hair dresser for many years.
Eventually I went back to college and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. I worked and retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Since retirement, I have been selling plants and my artwork at the Happy Valley Saturday Market. In the last few months, I have painted over 80 paintings. Most of my paintings reflect my love of plants, although I veer off at times and paint houses, which I also love, surrounded by trees and flowers.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I love creating them!
If there is anything that you would like to know about any particular painting and what inspired me for that original piece of artwork please ask, I would be more that happy to discuss it with you!
Thank you!
Bonnie
