I'm Derek Reynolds and I hope to provide locals with views of the things they love and people everywhere with a window into the beautiful, and infinitely varied, Pacific Northwest. From coastlines to mountains and rainforests to deserts this is one of the most amazingly diverse places on the planet.

Love for this gorgeous little corner of the world was really the impetus behind my journey into photography back in 2012. Up until then I was a professional musician and IT dork, but the more I hiked and kayaked and explored the more I wanted to capture what I experienced for my own walls. Eventually, after a few unsolicited offers were made for some of my prints, I decided to go ahead and take the leap as a professional Nature Photographer.

When I played music all I wanted to do was take folks out of their complicated lives for a while and give them some joy, that is exactly what I hope I can do with my photography. Cheers!
