Trieste Andrews

I am an oil and acrylic artist. My process starts from a photo or plein air session either from my own travels or photos from friends. They include landscapes, wildlife, and portraits. I begin with a layout of shadows and color patterns, then begin layering the paints, building the colors and richness until I am satisfied with the likeness I am creating. At the end of the painting when I lay in the darkest of the darks and the brightest of the whites, the picture seems to come alive, and I can convey the same emotion that originally inspired me.
