Did you know a donation to the Three Rivers Artist Guild can fund more art in Oregon for free?

The Cultural Trust tax credit is a unique way for the state to fund cultural activities throughout Oregon. To qualify, first make a donation to the Three Rivers Artist Guild which is listed as one of 1400+ nonprofits on the Oregon Cultural Trust website. Then make a matching donation to the Oregon Cultural Trust on their website https://culturaltrust.org/get-involved/donate/ or by mail. You will then get the credit back – dollar for dollar – on your tax return. It virtually costs you nothing!

A tax credit reduces what you owe the State of Oregon. Whereas a deduction only reduces the income on which you are taxed, a credit will actually reduce your taxes. For example, if it appears you owe $200 in Oregon taxes, but you made a $100 contribution to the Oregon Cultural Trust by December 31^st of that tax year, your final tax bill will only be $100.
