OSA Photography Show: Painting With Light
Deadline for applications is March 25th, 2022.
Partnering with light and a camera, photographers remake the world through images. Each photograph is a time machine, transporting the viewer to a particular time, place, and perspective. From black and white, to pinhole, large format and digital, we want to see the world through your camera lens!
To create a compelling image, the photographer must consider light, composition, contrast, framing, subject, and psyche. What is revealed in the photograph, however, is always a surprise. Subject and photographer are equally unmasked within the camera’s gaze. Celebrating the image in all of its forms, Painting With Light aims to showcase the artistry, depth, and profundity of the photographic medium.
Painting With Light will be juried by Jānis Miglavs, a photographer whose work has been featured in National Geographic, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Outdoor Photographer and more.
