Spring Fling 2023

By Lynda Orzen, Spring Fling Coordinator

The artist set up for Spring Fling was probably the best ever. The room was full of wonderful, diverse artwork. We welcomed several non TRAG members to the show this year with fansical birdhouses to one-of-a-kind greeting cards. It was fun pulling raffle tickets for participants and then watching them try to decide what gift to choose.

Visitor participation was slow this year with between 250 and 300 people during the weekend. There were several other events in Oregon City that same weekend along with a gardening show in Canby. Our artists took advantage of the time visiting other artists and doing their own shopping. Want to thank Kerry Edwards for lining up volunteers for the weekend and Lynne Collum for creating booth signs and name tags. Both helped with setting up and breaking down the event.

One of the best things about our events at the Pioneer Center is our donation of $500 for the weekend that supports the Meals on Wheels program in Oregon City. The Pioneer Center program relies on donations from the community. They receive no financing from the National Program. The guild is proud to be a partner with the Pioneer Community Center!
