Call for Artists: Spring Fling Art Festival 2023

As of March 5th, 2023, 20 spaces are still available. They are all 8 feet wide by 6 feet deep.

The Spring Fling is back for a third year on May 6 and May 7 at the Pioneer Community Center in Oregon City.

Times for the events will be:
Saturday, May 6, from 10 am till 4 pm and Sunday, May 7, from 10 am till 4 pm.
Set up will be on Friday, May 5 from 3 pm till 7 pm.

Please do not show up any earlier unless you are assisting with set up.

This show is for TRAG membership that have been juried into the TRAG gallery. If you are new to the guild and were not juried into the gallery, you will need to be juried into this event. If your work needs to be juried, the process will be quick.

All work submitted to be juried must be created by the artists. All work in the show must be made by the artist. No reselling of mass-produced items. As an example, buying a pendant and adding a chain to it does not create a handmade item.

This show will be set up exactly like our Holiday Show. There are 39 spaces available. 36 are 8 feet wide by 6 feet deep spaces at $70 and 3 of 2 feet deep by 12 feet wide, these are spaces at the end of rows at $50.

You must have your own display set-up. There are several tables available at the facility: 3 @ 30” by 96” and 9 @ 30” by 72”. Please send in your request to Lynda.

This show will be first come with applications for participation.

Please include at least 3 photos of your work for advertising purposes. There will be posters created with artists work along with digital and paper postcards.

You will receive notification of acceptance by the end of March along with further instructions and information on set up.

Artist’s Waiver and Hold Harmless Agreement

By signing and dating below, the undersigned (“Artist”) represents and warrants that Artist has read, understands, and is voluntarily and knowingly agreeing to each of the following:

(1) Artist has reviewed and agrees to comply with the Three Rivers Artist Guild Conditions for Participation in the 2023 Spring Fling.

(2) Artist agrees to abide by all rules, policies, and decisions of the Three Rivers Artist Guild relating to the art that is being displayed and/or the terms of Artist’s participation in the 2023 Spring Fling.

(3) The images submitted by Artist for review by the jury are representative of the work to be exhibited at the 2023 Spring Fling.

(4) All images that are submitted and art that is subsequently exhibited at the 2023 Spring Fling Show shall be art that was created entirely by the Artist. Anything not created by the artist will be removed from the show.

(5) Artist hereby authorizes the use of all images submitted for jurying to be used for promotional efforts related to the 2023 Spring Fling /Three Rivers Artist Guild in all forms of media including, print, television and Internet advertising. Artist is not guaranteed inclusion in any promotional materials.

(6) Artist’s art and personal property is not insured by Oregon City Pioneer Community Center. Artist is solely responsible for injuries Artist incurs in connection with the 2023 Spring Fling and any damage done to art or personal property.

(7) Artist agrees to indemnify, release, forever discharge and hold harmless, Three Rivers Artist Guild and Oregon City Pioneer Community Center, all sponsoring organizations, and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any: liability, claims, damage of any kind, or expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to Artists application to and participation in the 2023 Spring Fling, including but not limited to damages of any kind, whether injury to or death of any person(s), damage, loss or destruction to property, loss of income, or any other loss, whether or not foreseeable.

I’ve never done a festival such as this before nor have I ever sold my work. Thus, I am unsure of what to expect.

Do any other TRAG members who are first timers want to share a space? Maybe muddle through our first show together?

I’m an acrylic painter and willing to bring coffee 🙂
