Artist Statement
Jenn makes drawings and mixed media projects, working extensively with paper that she makes. Her art explores the transformation of local and sustainable materials such as plants and used fabrics, and investigates themes of empathy, place, ephemerality, and ecology. She attended HSPVA an arts high school in Houston, TX, earned her BFA at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, and her MFA at the Tufts University + School of Museum of Fine Arts MFA program in Boston, MA, where she graduated in 2006.

Over the past 16+ years living in Oregon she has taught, exhibited, and lectured at locations throughout the region.
